The Forbidden Lands: Welcome!
With the Monster Hunter Wilds demo (Open Beta Test 2) now available, hunters from all around the world are exploring its expansive, ever-changing ecosystems. This sample provides an exciting preview of the gameplay, monsters, and mayhem of the full game, regardless of your level of experience as a hunter. Let’s dissect everything you require to rule the Wilds.
Details of the Demo: Longer Playtime & Platforms
Due to tremendous demand and technical changes, the demo was extended by 24 hours, and it is currently scheduled to run until February 17, 6:59 PM PT. Available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, this is your opportunity to:
Crossplay compatibility: Collaborate with hunters on many platforms.
Pre-download options: Use early access to get started more quickly.
Rewards for the entire game: Get special extras like a beta pendant and the OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack.
Important Features to Examine in the Demo
- Flagship Monster Battle: Gypceros vs. Arkveld
Battle the resurgent Gypceros, who spews poison, and Arkveld, the chain-winged apex predator. Gain victory and the ability to brag by mastering their attack patterns. - Smooth Switching Between Weapons and Mounted Combat
Switch weapons mid-hunt for the first time with your Seikret mount, which also allows you to gulp potions or sharpen blades while you’re out and about. Try using combos such as Great Sword charges and quick Dual Blades slashes! - Changing Environments and Survival Strategies
The weather and seasons affect the ecosystems in the Wilds:
Avoid lightning strikes on the Windward Plains during Inclemency Season.
Environmental traps: Use your Hook Slinger 67 to drag down rockfalls or stun enemies with Paratoads.
- Training Area & Story Trial
Are you new to Monster Hunter? The Chatacabra hunt in the Story Trial teaches you the fundamentals, and the Training Area allows you to safely try all 14 weapon types—auto-revive included. - Creating Characters and Cross-Save
Use all of the customizing features to create your Hunter and Palico. After altering, move your design to the main game, but don’t quit right away to avoid losing your data.
Expert Advice for Controlling the Beta
Master Focus Mode: Draw attention to your weaknesses and use Focus Strikes to deal more damage. To shatter monster components more quickly, perfect your timing.
Sharpen on the Go: While pursuing escaping enemies, use your Seikret to keep your weapons sharp.
Use SOS Flares: Are You Stuck? For backup, call in actual players or NPC Support Hunters.
Prepare Pre-Hunt Meals: Use chef-crafted buffs to increase resistance, stamina, and health.
Take advantage of Elemental Weaknesses: Match weaponry to monster weaknesses (avoid fire against Rathalos, for example).
Benefits & What Remains
Beta Bonuses: Get the OBT 2 Pendant, Armor Spheres, and Shock Traps before the general release.
Character Data Transfer: Get the look you want today by perfecting your Hunter and Palico designs.
Last Words & How to Take Part
